Your Taylor Machine’s “Carburetor”: Feed Tube Tips You Should Know

⭐ Why the Feed Tube Matters

The feed tube mixes product and air at the right ratio. Too much air = foamy, unstable product. Not enough air = dense, heavy product and a machine that struggles to keep up.

🌙 Night / Standby Mode — Flip It Over

When you put your machine into standby mode, you must flip the feed tube over.

Why?

When the product warms back to liquid overnight, the feed tube needs to be flipped so the machine maintains the correct air-to-product ratio. If you leave it upright, you’ll wake up to poor overrun and inconsistent product.

☀️ Morning Start-Up — Let It Freeze First

In the morning:

  1. Turn the machine to AUTO

  2. Let it freeze until the motor stops

  3. Then flip the feed tube back upright

This ensures the product has frozen properly and the air ratio is locked in before you begin serving.

🏈 Busy Rush? Use This Trick

When you're slammed — a football game lets out, a bus tour shows up, or it’s just one of those nights — pull your feed tube completely out.

You’ll sacrifice a bit of overrun, but the machine will:

  • Feed much faster

  • Stay colder

  • Keep up with heavy demand

As they say: make hay while the sun shines.

Once the rush is over, just pop the tube back in and return to normal operation.
