When to Replace
Taylor recommends replacing tune-up kit components every 3 months (quarterly). Replace sooner if you see any of these signs:
- Slush mix leaking from door seals or around the beater assembly
- Inconsistent slush texture or product not freezing evenly
- O-rings showing cracks, hardening, or visible wear
- Difficulty removing or installing the freezer door
- 3+ months since your last tune-up
Regular replacement prevents product leaks, maintains consistent slush texture, reduces risk of costly breakdowns, and keeps your machine compliant with health department standards.
Carbonated vs. Non-Carbonated: Which Kit Do I Need?
Taylor slush machines come in two types — carbonated and non-carbonated. The X39969 kit is engineered specifically for non-carbonated models (340, 341, 342, 350, 351, 390, 428, 430, 432, 450). Carbonated slush machines require a different kit with CO₂-rated seals and O-rings. If you’re unsure which type you have, check your machine’s model number or call us at 800-879-7839.
