Replacement draw valve for Taylor soft serve and frozen yogurt machines. The draw valve controls product flow from the freezing cylinder to the customer — it opens when the handle is pulled and closes to stop flow. Over time the valve body wears, develops micro-grooves, or warps, causing leaking that O-rings and lubrication alone cannot fix. When that happens, the valve body itself needs to be replaced.
How to Diagnose a Worn Draw Valve
A draw valve leaks for two reasons: worn O-rings or a worn valve body. Here’s how to tell which is the problem:
- Fresh O-rings + correct lubrication still leaking — the valve body has worn grooves or warping and needs replacement
- Valve drips after handle is fully closed — worn valve seat; O-ring swap won’t fix this
- Valve is difficult to operate or feels rough — internal wear on the valve body
- Visible scoring or grooves on the valve surface — replace the valve body immediately
If fresh O-rings and proper lubrication do not stop the leak, replace the draw valve. Do not continue operating with a leaking draw valve — it is a sanitation and product contamination risk.
