This adjustable 1/4" expansion valve is a critical refrigeration component found in nearly every Taylor soft serve, frozen yogurt, and slush machine. It regulates suction pressure in the refrigeration circuit — and when it fails, your machine will either stop freezing or pull into a deep vacuum on the low side. Replacing it is one of the most impactful refrigeration repairs you can make.
