Replacement water regulating valve for water-cooled Taylor soft serve machines. Regulates discharge (high-side) pressure by controlling water flow through the condenser. Replace when the valve is leaking, failing to shut off, or restricting water flow.
Quick field test: When the compressor shuts off, water flow should stop within 5 seconds. If water continues flowing after 5 seconds, the valve has failed and needs replacement.

How the Water Regulating Valve Works
The water regulating valve senses discharge (high-side) refrigerant pressure and modulates water flow through the condenser accordingly. When the compressor runs, high-side pressure rises, the valve opens to allow condenser water flow, and the pressure is regulated. When the compressor shuts off, high-side pressure drops and the valve closes, stopping water flow. A valve that stays open wastes water and causes condensation issues; a restricted valve causes high discharge pressure, compressor faults, and potential compressor damage.
